Pension Baja Paradise

I really hate leaving a semi negative reviews as the owner is doing her best. I initially had an interior double room on the first floor. I had amazing sleep there since the AC worked really well and it was very quiet other than a worker playing stuff on his phone at 7pm in the common area was a bit annoying. Later, I was told that the Cabana/Family Room became free since the AirBnB guests moved out. It quickly became nightmare for me as the room was so obnoxiously loud on a busy street with minimal noise isolation (I was told at night would be okay. but is not true at all). On top the AC barely worked in the host afternoons. I had to checkout early and let go days I've paid. tldr; good location, do ask for a cash discount for longer days. laundry is onsite for 200pesos. Stay away from the Family Room there's a reason why it's always available other than it's pricing.

Close to malecon, rooms are really clean. It's a very pleasant place to stay.

We had to take a taxi from the airport to get here, as Uber is not allowed to collect passengers there. Fortunately, a Didi driver was waiting just outside the airport exit. There’s no public transport available from the airport. Our room was a comfortable size and included a small private balcony with a partial view of the surrounding area. The AC worked well, and there was a fridge, Smart TV, and a decent-sized bathroom with a good shower. The property has several nice outdoor seating areas with tables overlooking the area—great spots to relax when it’s not too hot. There’s also a shared kitchen with tea and coffee provided, plus a water dispenser offering both hot and cold water. Laundry service is available too. The staff were friendly and always willing to help, and there’s even a resident cat. Staff are usually on-site, but there’s also an intercom if you need assistance. We enjoyed both the town and the hotel enough to extend our stay, and the staff kindly allowed us a late checkout at no extra charge. The boardwalk (malecón) is just two blocks away—perfect for a walk or jog, especially in the cooler mornings or evenings. There are a few local restaurants and a convenience store nearby, and safe swimming beaches are just a short taxi or bus ride away. Overall, we had a great stay and would happily stay here again.

Very quiet place to rest at night. Their air conditioning is awesome. Only thing is kind of far from the beach but I do recommend it.

Affordable, basic, clean, quiet. Feels like a hostel where you can socialize and meet fellow travelers. Great central location. Very friendly host. I would definitely come again.

Terrific location. quiet and small rooms. authentic hostel feel with the old school trailer library. terrific building and good amenities. this is what i want from a hostel. modest but professional. i arrived late (10pm on a wednesday) and i was nervous i would be waiting in the street. there was people at the reception and i had a much needed night of peace and quiet. it appears as though there are nice modest cafes and eateries near by. i’m keen to explore more. but for a good nights rest after travelling south you couldn’t ask for much more.

I absolutely loved this place. The location was just perfect, walking distance from everything. The toilet was always clean and in neat condition. The shower was big and had everything you'd need and was also super clean. The room had all the amenities I needed and was comfortable. I'd totally stay here again! The *only* bad thing I can think of is how loud it could be (hearing all the noises from the road and so), but nothing a pair of earplugs couldn't fix
